Bike Club Information

I have never ridden with a group before – is it still okay to join your Club?

Absolutely! You are the perfect candidate. We’ll teach you how to ride safely in a group.

What equipment will I need to get started?

You need a bike in good working order (good idea to get it checked beforehand), an approved helmet, hydration (water bottle) and sturdy shoes (running shoes will do, no sandals, please). Other items you may want to consider are sun screen, light food snack.

Do I have to participate in the Healing Cycle Foundation ride in September in order to be part of your Club?

No, while a good number of Club members participate in the Healing Cycle Foundation fundraiser, you are not obligated to join.

Do we stop along the way?

Depending on the length of the ride, a pit stop is usually scheduled into the ride. There is an opportunity to get refreshments, but a good idea to bring your own just in case. Bananas, peanut butter in a pita, trail mix are good snacks.

Where do the rides start from?

Most of the rides will start from the parking lot of the Meadowvale GO Station at 6845 Millcreek Dr. in Mississauga (Millcreek and Aquitane Ave.). Once a month, rides will start from a location outside Mississauga city limits. This information will be made available to members at least one month in advance of the ride date. The locations will include Terracotta and possibly the Niagara area.
