Grief Support Course
Reconciliation – Understanding and Living with Loss
A Life Interrupted educational support group can be a lifeline of healing and personal growth in times of significant emotional loss. By being understood, sharing and being supported during this life transition, individuals can put joy back into their lives…its learning, experiencing and embracing how to mourn and grieve that starts the healing process.
Grief support groups provide education, support and encouragement for those who have lost someone they love, through death. It is built upon a foundation of trust, commitment and accountability.
The holistic approach to healing is facilitated by an accredited and certified grief professional with thousands of hours of frontline experience, along with a second facilitator from Life Interrupted that is a recognized association/organization. The purpose of grief support group is to provide invaluable information, encouragement, support, understanding and compassion to bereaved individuals experiencing similar losses. It is an educational experience which will allow individuals to make better choices in their lives.
The ideal size for a Grief Support Group is six to a maximum of ten participants, plus two facilitators.
Comments made by past participants:
“I liked the atmosphere. The two group leaders were awesome. I felt very comfortable. I felt safe to talk about my grief. I enjoyed the other people in the group to share. I would attend another session. It was helpful to know others in our situation. The group leaders were very knowledgeable and put us at ease. I really enjoyed memory night. Talking was the best medicine for me. I thoroughly enjoyed everything and I love Laurie and Brad.”

“Great facilitators who made the course worthwhile! Their feelings of warmth, sensitivity and compassion were excellent. The topics that were chosen for discussion or exploration helped me feel normal and my feelings of going through a loss that has changed my life. It was a very supportive group that showed me that I am not alone. It actually was a feeling of sadness when the ten weeks came to an end. I would love to attend a follow-up group. Thank you very much.”
