What a Ride!
It was the perfect day to go for a ride – and what a ride the participants of the 5th annual Healing Cycle ride had! Blue skies, smiling faces and great camaraderie all mixed together to create a fantastic event! From the start line where personal stories of loss were shared, to the triumphant finish line, where each rider was boisterously cheered in by crowds, the day was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate life and appreciate how important it is to acknowledge the lives of terminally-ill patients, their families and the importance of palliative care.
So thank you to all the riders that have collectively raised $146,000 so far and counting and another thank you to all the volunteers that put together the event and made it happen.
Congratulations to the Team Challenge fundraising winners: Credit Valley Hospital (large team - $36,266), Healing Cycle Bike Club (medium team - $19,201) and Sidler & Co. (small team - $12,495). Congratulations also to the Team Challenge Speed Winners: Credit Valley Hospital (large team), Mercedes-Benz (medium team) and Via Ciclante (small team).
