Kids4Kids Healing Cycle

Children can participate in the 10 km or 25 km family ride. The cycling routes will be identical to those ridden by adults. For more detailed information about the routes, maps, schedules and BBQ Bash, please see Event Information.

Kids4Kids Team members will be given coloured t-shirts to wear during the ride, in order to easily identify them. They will be accompanied by cycling road marshals that will assist them during the ride. In addition, standing marshals and support vehicles will be present throughout the 10 km and 25 km routes.

Children will also be given a finisher’s medal, goodie bag and post-race food. The top fundraising children will receive prizes presented on stage in front of over 1000 people at the celebratory BBQ Bash. But the best gift of participation is the children’s sense of accomplishment, healthy boost of self-confidence, and an experience to last a lifetime as they give back to the community helping other children!

Although not mandatory for children 9 years or older, it is highly encouraged that parents accompany their children. Parents will need to fill out necessary waivers at the start line on behalf of their children.  Parents not accompanying their children on the ride will need to be at the finish line when the Kids4Kids Team returns, in order to collect their children.

All children 8 and under must be accompanied by a parent on the ride. Parents who accompany their children need to register separately first, pay the $50 registration fee per adult and raise the required minimum pledges ($50 for the 10 km route or $125 for the 25 km route).

Children that are part of the Kids4Kids Team need to raise $25 in donations and are charged $25 for registration. Parents that choose to pay the $25 donation upfront along with the $25 registration fee during the registration process will receive a tax receipt for $25. Alternatively, parents can just pay the registration fee and ask friends and family to donate on their child’s behalf.
