Day-of Registration

Day-of registration of riders is accepted, provided that the cyclist pay Late Registration Fees and has brought to the event the minimum fundraising donations required to participate. Riders should arrive one hour before their scheduled starting time in order to get through the registration process and instructions.

To participate in the Team Challenge, Team Captains must register the team name on this website before team members can sign-up. Once the team is registered the Team Captain will automatically be notified every time a new member joins the team and will be given their e-mail address for correspondence.

If a cyclist accidentally signs up as an individual, instead of joining a particular hospice palliative care team, a request can be made by the individual to be transferred onto the team by sending an email to Jane at

Any facility or organization that supports hospice palliative care in Ontario that wants to raise money through the annual Healing Cycle Ride is eligible to enter a team. 85% of the funds raised by each Hospice Palliative Care Team will go directly to their organization. (The other 15% will be used to cover the  fees as well as administrative costs).

Hospice palliative care teams are essentially identical to all other teams, except that the funds they raise are directed back to their own specific organizations. The money raised by all other types of teams will be directed to hospices.

Cheques will be issued to all the hospice palliative care organizations in August, to allow for the inclusion of late team donations made in July.

The Bike Club Option is new for the 2019 Ride!

If your an avid cyclist looking for a great ride route on a sunny September morning, this is a great option without making a fundraising commitment.

With a $90.00 registration fee, riders get all the benefits of being a ride participant while helping us to continue to spread awareness for our local hospices and palliative care units.

 New for the 2019 Ride!

Not a strong cyclist but want to participate for your local hospice? We are now offering an option to walk or run either a 5KM route or the 10KM and fundraise as part of a hospice team.

Proxy Pedaler

This option is for hospices that would like to participate in the fundraising, but feel they are too far away from Mississauga to ask local volunteers to go to the ride themselves. The hospice 'team leader' sets up a team and asks us to assign them a 'Proxy Pedaller'. The hospice reaches out to their contacts to raise funds for their local operation, and can inspire their donors with messages about their "Proxy Pedaller".

The only responsibility the hospice palliative care organization has is to sign up their team on the website and recruit individuals to sign up as part of their team. (If the individual who plans on being the team captain is not a cyclist, they can sign up as a sidekick captain for $30). The Healing Cycle Foundation can provide communication packages, which will include postcards and posters to assist the hospice palliative care teams to publicize the event. To receive this communication package, please contact Jane at
